Sorry, I missed this post. This is what I translate it as. It's a pretty literal translation, so some of it is probably wrong, but the general meaning is there:

Good for you with a location! But it is a crime if there is no version of Irish to be had. It is the future language that is important to the side of nationalism! A country without a language is a country without a soul!

Don't quote me anywhere on that translation! :D

Well, I don't have my dictionary at hand here in the office, but I'll give it a try. I'll do a complete translation at home.

Ok, I'll look up the "n�isi�nachais" thing and the other missing parts.

Without bothering to check this out, I'd bet this is something someone said about your website. Maybe the word that boggled Roidsear (su�omh) is modern one meaning the website. The pronounciation (at least the way I'd pronounce it, more or less "si:v") might suggest that.

That's exactly what I was thinking about su�omh, I think it's a modern word for website. You see it on a good few websites in Irish.

Well, "su�omh" is explained in the excerpt of the Focl�ir Fhiontair as:

location : su�omh (2) f (R�o) (gu. su�mh)


And it's also present is combined nouns like

current location : su�omh reatha
download site : su�omh �osch�ipe�la f (R�o) (gu. su�mh �osch�ipe�la ai. su�omhanna
�osch�ipe�la)

So it may be used in the context of a website, which is normally referred to as
home page : leathanach baile
and
web site su�omh gr�as�in f (R�o) (gu. su�mh gr�as�in ai. su�mh ghr�as�in) (mal l�ithre�n gr�as�in f gu. l�ithre�in gr�as�in ai. l�ithre�in ghr�as�in)
...in fact, it IS used here in this context... ;)

The (R�o) stands for "r�omhaire" or "t�arma r�omhaireachta", computer or computer terms and indicates the context in which it is used.

This is what this site is supposed to do: support fellows with information about Irish or Celtic music in general. And Gaeilge (or G�idhlig, or Gaelg, or Cymareg, or Kernowag, or Brezhoneg) is an important part of the culture... ;)
