Hi all,
I see that Eire Og will be in Philadelphia this Friday, Nov 17 for the 2nd Street Irish Society. Does anyone know where exactly and what time?
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Gary, if you're out there...

I like the way you do 'Only Our Rivers Run Free" with the 'F' 'C'...'Dm?' thing happening. Could you list the chords that you play? Thanks!
As a side bar, do you have any new CDs? Where can I get them?

Here are the lyrics:

When apples still grow in November,
When blossoms still grow from each tree,
When leaves are still green in December,
It's then that our land will be free.
I wander the hills and valleys,
And still through my sorrow I see,
A land that has never known freedom,
And only her rivers run free.

I drink to the death of her manhood
Those men who'd rather have died
Than to live in the cold chains of bondage
To bring back their rights where denied.
Oh, where are you now that we need you,
What burns where the flame used to be
Are you gone like the snow of last winter
And will only our rivers run free?

How sweet is life, but we're crying
How mellow the wine, but we're dry.
How fragrant the rose, but it's dying
How gentle the wind, but it sighs.
What good is in youth when it's aging?
What good is in eyes that can't see?
Whem there's sorrow in sunshine and flowers
And still only our rivers run free.

Does anyone know the chords to the Pete St John song, "Year of the French"? I have a Danny Doyle recording of it and the progression the he does is pretty interesting. Just wanted to know how others play it so I can maybe add a little spice to it.
It's a great song that noone seems to do anymore.

go raibh maith agat, in advance.

Thanks, Matt Kavanah.
I'll keep checking the local listings to see if he's coming around in March.
Heading up to NY is a possibility too.

Cheers.

It figures....
I've been wanting to see Gary Og for years in the States... turns out he was in my town 2 months ago (Philadelphia). Just found this site today.

Gary,
Any chance for a victory lap this year?

Tiocfaidh ar La!
Cheers

PS - Where can we get more of your music?
